Welcome!
I originally created this site as a way to make my resume more visual for potential employers. I thought we were moving to Bluefield, West Virginia and needed a quick and easy way to send my resume. Or maybe it simply could be that I enjoy creating websites and this gives me a legitimate excuse to indulge in one of my hobbies. Either way... here it is!
We are now planning on moving close to Fort Riley, Kansas. We plan on living in Kansas for at least six years so the kids can finish high school. Who knows... we may love it there and stay even longer!
I hope to find a job in that area working with individuals with disabilities. I have worked with children ages 11-15 with a wide variety of disabilities. For the last two years I have worked in a self-contained multicategorical class. Most of my students have physical disabilities along with their mental disabilities. My students’ abilities vary widely from a 13 year old severe-profoundly disabled child that functions in the range of a 3-4 month old to a 14 year old student that reads on a 3rd grade level. I also worked for three years with students with autism. I have had extensive training in the area of autism and have found that training to be useful with students with other disabilities as well. I love working with all children but my heart is truly with autistic individuals.
If you are interested in seeing my resume and references, please send me an email and I'll send you the password.
Please keep in mind that this site is a work in progress!
Thanks for stopping by.
